He was predeceased by: his parents, Fralin Slack and Gertrude Slack (Stoneback); his daughter Sherri Carlos; and his siblings, Ronald Slack and Dorothy Lippincott.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Slack (Lifland); his daughter Terri Infante (Rafael); his grandchildren, Trudy Trumbore, Crystal Scheip, Corey Scheip (Katie Scheip), Ashe, Marissa Picione, Madie and Abbie Trumbore; his great grandchildren, Allie, Cameron Brown and William Scheip; and his sisters, Gale Clark and Faye Small. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
