He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard W. Leonard, Sr. and Marjorie Leonard (Jackman). He is survived by: his wife Helen Leonard (Tam); and his children, William and Kem (David). He is also survived by four grandsons; two brothers; four sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110, any organization dedicated to the research of ALS, or to any charity of choice.
