He was predeceased by: his parents, Violet Carmoney Floyd and Harold Floyd; his wife Annette W. Floyd; his son David Floyd; and his sister Betty Shaffer.

He is survived by: his sons, Mark Floyd (Jill) of Bath, PA. and John Floyd (Janna) of Mexico; his sister Romaine "Rusty" Boyanowski of Mechanicsburg, PA.; and his grandchildren, Anna, Rebekah, Danny, Sam, Heidi, Ben, Emma and Katherine.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be donated in James' memory to the Lower Swatara Volunteer Fire Department.
