He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Grant Houser and Orpha Houser (Brightbill); and his siblings, Robert Houser and Mary Houser Shaeffer. He is survived by: his wife Joy Gingrich; his daughters, Lori Boger (Rick), Leanne Niemuth (Neal) of Osakis, MN and Kim Siar (Jim); and his grandchildren, Michelle, Beth and Ben. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
