He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Walker Von Nieda and Margaret "Peggy" Fried (Clark); and his son-in-law Thomas Johns. He is survived by: his wife Patricia E. Von Nieda (Garst); his children, Lorrie Johns and Terry L. Von Nieda (Rebecca); and his siblings, George, Thomas, Terri Lynn, Michael, Tanya Von Nieda, Jay Johnson, Suzanne Ragsdale, Brinley Fried, Peggy Ann McLoughlin, Stephanie Tizzio and Melanie Gabbard. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to his church, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Palmyra.
