Though David may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Daniel String and Charlotte "Sissy" Mummert. He is survived by: his wife Sandra String; his children, David F. String (Tina), Joy Cropper (Bryan) and John D. String (Madeline); his granddaughter Carly Ann; and his brother Kenneth String (Kathleen).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home (301 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA 19074). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
