She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmund L. Grimes and Sarah E. Grimes; her sister Martha Mabie (Grimes); her daughter Sarah "Sally" Howard (Lyle); George L. Howard and Theresa L. Howard.
She is survived by: her husband James A. Howard; her sons, James D. Howard (Anita), Theodore M. Howard (Stefan) and Robert C. Howard (Maureen); her grandchildren, Samantha, Douglas, Lauren, Robert, William, Victoria, Ryan and Grace; her great grandchild Faith; and her siblings, Mary, Clark and Kate. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
A lifelong special education teacher, she began her career in the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District before dedicating nearly 40 years to the Devereux Foundation.
