He was predeceased by: his mother Dolores Pugh (Hilliard); and his children, Jennifer Hilliard and Aaron "Bug" Hilliard. He is survived by: his father Richard Pugh of Parker; his wife Tammy Hilliard of Parker; his children, Billie Jo Rumbarger (Ben) of Sligo, Terri Geist (Ronny) of New Bethlehem and Kyle Hilliard (Lexi); his brothers, Gary Best of Parker, Walt Best (Tami) of Clarion, John Best (Laura), Victor Best (Barb) of Mercer and Rick Pugh (Chrissy) of Kittanning; his father-in-law Joseph Kriebel of Clarion; and his grandchildren, Kennedy, Hayden, Kaedy, Lennon, Luca, Lola and Kyler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
