He is survived by: his wife Elaine Elliott (Reuter) of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Cindy Snyder (Brian) of Parker, Jennifer Elliott of Orange and Jeff Elliott of Woodstock Illinois; his grandchildren, Mara Judd Smaretsky (Phil) of Bluffton, Cierra Snyder (Nathan) of Parker and Alyssa Hutchison (Brice) of Aurora, Ohio; his great grandchildren, Taylor, Nolan, Michael and Charlie Smaretsky of Bluffton; his sisters, Barbara Elliott Carpenter (Glenn) of Salem and Bonnie Elliott Mitchell (Ron) of Yucaipa, California; his brother-in-law Walter Reuter (Betty) of Huntley, Illinois; his nieces, Becky Carpenter Timmerman (Tracy), Lori Piske, Debbie Bakley, Cherri Moyers (Dennis), Kristi Poskitt (Scott) and Debra McMurtrey; and his nephew Mike Carpenter (Joyce).

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
