The passing of David E. Townsend of Parkesburg, Pennsylvania leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 15, 2025 at the age of 89. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rettew and Harriet Chambers Townsend; his wife Evelyn Lamkin Townsend; his siblings, Robert, Laurence Townsend and Janice Townsend Hoopes; and his nephew Steven Hoopes.
He is survived by: his daughter Ellen Townsend Brown (Lennie); his grandchildren, Meghan Brown (Ross Pini), Paige Brown (Erik Horn) and Graham Pini; and his sister Susan Townsend Miller (Kenneth). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Episcopal Church (406 W 2nd Ave, Parkesburg, PA 19365). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
