He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Butler and Elizabeth Butler (Lovell); his wife Opal J. (Schaeffer); and his brother Harvey Butler. He is survived by: his children, Fonda Butler of Penfield, Tammie McClintick (Marvin) of Penfield and Jeffrey Butler (Bonnie) of Florida; his grandchildren, Erin West (Keith) and Eric McClintick (Abigail Ketley); his great grandchild Austin Brown; and his sister Frances Pope (Dale) of Virginia.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Weedville Wesleyan Church (18945 Bennetts Valley Hwy, Weedville, PA 15868).
