He was predeceased by : his parents, Leo J. Plunkett and Kathryn Mulvihill Plunkett; his wife Ruth Mary Morrissey; his daughter Maureen Thoman (John); his granddaughter Elizabeth Paladino; and his sisters, Dolores P. Gibson and Ann Kathleen Farrell.

He is survived by : his children, Patrick J. (Kathy Matesic), Edith "Missy" Turna (Ayhan), Mary Beth Paladino (late Bernard), Leo T. II (Mary Kay) and Kevin (Donna); his grandchildren, Patrick M. (Sarah), Catherine (Teresa Plunkett), Elana, Bernadette (Michael Paladino), Brandon, Leanna, Tyler (Lily Plunkett) and Daniel (Michael Plunkett); and his great grandchildren, Amber Penick, Caroline Leone, Rhys, Cole Plunkett, Michaela Lash and Dierre Johnson.

“It was a blessing to see Leo at church celebrating his love of God - he was active as a eucharist minister (even at 100 years) and an inspiration to all. He reminded me of my neighbor Dave Fetherston who went home to be with his Lord and savior about a year ago at the young age of 90 - God blessed both of them with a passion for this life and called them home according to His plan. I am sure both of them walked the road to Emmaus last week and recognized their Lord and Savior! God Bless!”
