Richard Getkin Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Getkin of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 25, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Richard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Richard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his brother Kenneth Getkin; and his parents, Robert Getkin and Alma Getkin. He is survived by: his wife Becky Getkin (Ebbitt); his children, Jaclyn Morgan (Nathan), Richard Getkin and Christopher Getkin; his brother Robert Getkin (Pat); and his sister-in-law Bonnie Getkin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Charles W. Trenz Funeral Home, Inc. (11110 Frankstown Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15235). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
