With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sharon Messina of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sharon left this world on September 27, 2025 at the age of 72, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. She was predeceased by: her uncle Jack Pape (Marie); her mother Marie Edgar; and her brother Frank Pietropola. She is survived by: her son Russell Sterner (Alyssa); her grandchildren, Nathan, Natalie and Nico; her siblings, Lynn Sullivan, Antoinette Leicht and Marie Lazewski (Brian); her uncles, Tom McCracken (Pat) and Charles McCracken; and her aunt Barbara O'Neill (late Jim). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd. (7450 Saltsburg Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15235). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
