It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Russell D. Hoy of Penn Run, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 17, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Russell C. Hoy and Margaret Hoy (Dias); his siblings, Viola Hoy and Raymond Hoy; his in-laws, Thomas and Dorothy Howorth; and his close friend Theresa Young.

He is survived by : his wife Joyce E. Hoy (Howorth); his children, Debra Rorabaugh (Joseph) of Clymer, LuAnn Rogerson (Bill McIntire), Rusty Hoy (Barb) of Clymer and Cheryl Gardner (Buddy) of Clymer; his siblings, Charles Hoy (Karen) of Denver, Bonnie Maughan of Arcadia and Mike Hoy (Amanda); and his pets, Sarge, Spike and Daisy. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations be made in Russ's name to a charity of your choice.
