He was predeceased by: his parents, Benedict Eckl and Helen Marie Fulmer Eckl; and his siblings, Jean Anderson, James Girty and William Girty.
He is survived by: his wife Carol VanDerlin; his children, Laura Eckl Seder (Timothy) of Warren and Steve Eckl (Robin) of Kane; his grandchildren, Ashley Eckl O'Dell (Josh), Kyle Seder and Brandon Seder (Lexi); his stepgrandson Jonathan Sadlowski; his great grandchildren, Adelyn and Everleigh; and his brothers, Earl Eckl (Joanie) of Daguscahonda and Richard Eckl (Patty) of Daguscahonda. He is also survived by his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
