The memory of Dorothy Cook of Penn, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 16, 2025 at the age of 98, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the sacred silence of farewell, Dorothy is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Dorothy's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas Sr. and Margaret Swank (Gonder); and her husband Harry Benjamin Cook. She is survived by: her children, Harry F. Cook (late Cindy), Eugene E. Cook (Rita) of Pittsburgh and Deborah L. Petrush of Penn Township; her brothers, H. Robert Swank (Nancy) and William T. Swank, Jr. (Marilyn); and her pet Grasie. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc. (3343 PA-130, Harrison City, PA 15636). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
