He was predeceased by : his father Walter Hooten. He is survived by : his mother Nancy Charlesen Hooten; his daughter Mandy Probola III (A. J.) of North Braddock, PA; his brothers, Jeff Hooten (Glenda) of DuBois, Ben Hooten of Brockway and Gary Hooten (Rene) of Kittanning, PA; and his stepgrandson A. J. Probola IV. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. (1033 4th Ave, Brockway, PA 15824). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
