He was predeceased by: his mother Catherine Salerno (Kulekoski); and his sister Genevieve Casterline. He is survived by: his father Thomas Salerno; his wife Elizabeth Salerno (Jones); his sons, Michael Salerno Jr. (BethAnn) of Piscataway, NJ, Leo Salerno of Penn Lake and James Salerno (Andrea) of Old Forge; his sister Ann Marie Crich; his granddaughter Brittany Messenger; and his pet Sheba. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
