He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Donald Scagline and Betty Munger Scagline Kisner; his stepfather William Kisner, Sr.; his stepbrother William Kisner, Jr.; his niece Alyssa Plumberg (Valentino); and his brother-in-law David Mills.

He is survived by: his close friend Veronica Slominsky; his siblings, Beth S. Mills (Charles Christner) of Elizabeth, Dr. Rhonda Wingrove (Thurman) of Monongahela, Rodney Scagline (Lori) of Murrysville and Dawn Valentino (Scott) of Acme; and his stepbrother Robert Kisner (Anna) of Elizabeth. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
