She was predeceased by : her husband Herbert Whitman; her parents, J. Leidy Gruver and Alice Gruver (Lear); and her siblings, Sylvia Gruver, Roger and Raymond Gruver.

She is survived by : her children, Cheryl L. Soliday (Daniel) of Perkasie and Mark H. Whitman (Dawn) of Northampton, PA; her grandchildren, Nathan Soliday (Melissa), Steven Soliday (Allyssa), Emma Whitman and Andrew Whitman; her great grandchildren, Evelyn Soliday, David Soliday, Russell Soliday and Dalton Soliday; and her siblings, Walter Gruver of Sellersville, PA and Lorraine Myers of Elmira, NY..
