He was predeceased by : his son C. William; and his parents, C. Raymond Baird and Arna Baird (Townsend). He is survived by : his wife Dr. Carolyn A. Baird (Hook); his sons, Christopher Alan Baird (Laureen Szymanski) and Chad Raymond Baird (Toni Henderson); and his grandchildren, Samuel Raymond, Dominic Sebastian, Krystyna Elisabet, Ava Riley and Charlotte Analiese.
