He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Clyde Benson and Gertrude Solida Benson; his wife Yvonne M. Toth Benson; and his siblings, Shirley Lucas and Leo "Lee" Benson.
He is survived by: his sister Alberta Dunn of Chicora. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
