He was predeceased by: his parents, Pa Ibrahim Turay and Esther Adama Conteh; and his siblings, Ya Marie Turay, Ya Fatu Bangura Turay, Santigie Taqi Turay, Abu Turay and Amadu Phillip Turay.
He is survived by: his wife Kadi; his sons, Alie, Abdul, Maila and Mahmou; and his siblings, Sissy Hawa James Conteh, Edward Sorie Turay, Sissy Isatu Turay, Alhaji Amara D. Turay, Kadie Logan, Memuna A. Y. Turay, Mark Mangay Turay, Hassan Turay, Joseph Turay, Mamusu Turay and Amara Turay, Jr..
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lambie Funeral Home (8000 Rowland Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19136). Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Maternity BVM Church (9220 Old Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19115). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the William Penn Cemetery (13041 Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19116).
