He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mitchell and Sarah Mitchell; his siblings, Edward, Daisey, Barbara, Freddie and Sandy; and his nephew Thomas Jr..

He is survived by: his siblings, James Jr. and Marie Mitchell; and his siblings' children, Windy, Freddie, MaLinda, Chyron, Gregory, Michael, Steven, Kevin, Derrick, Keisha, Antonio, Kyra, Tyrelle and Sara. He is also survived by other family members and dear friends.
