He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Amato and Rita Amato. He is survived by: his children, Shirley (Ricardo), Katherine (Joseph) and Angelina; his grandchildren, Michael, Dominique and Benjamin; and his sisters, Barbara and Anna. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
