He was predeceased by: his parents, Zora Lee Thrones and James Speakes; and his son Laton. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Smith; his son Shannon; his daughter-in-law Janeen; and his children, Tony and Nicole. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the NIX and NIX Funeral Homes, Inc. (1621 W Dauphin St, Philadelphia, PA 19132).
