She was predeceased by: her parents, Rubin Alexander and Anna Alexander (Bush); and her sister Eileen Zablocki. She is survived by: her husband Gary Merrigan; her sons, Ryan Merrigan (Zak Pflieger) and Daniel Merrigan (Lauren LaMartine); her sister Lois Kwederas; her granddaughter Alivia Jade Merrigan (Bella May Merrigan); and her friends, Brenda, Rita, Terry, Sue and Andi Wolf.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie's memory can be made in honor of her dad, Rubin, to the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society.
