He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Smith and Rita Smith. He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Smith; his children, Colleen M. McHugh (David), Megan M. Palestini (Steven), Kristin E. Druien (Brett) and Dennis B. Smith II (April); his grandchildren, Caitlin, Brendan, Amelia, Junior, Carter, Stella, Harrison, Isla, Penelope and Samuel; and his siblings, Michael Smith, Thomas Smith (Robin) and Margaret Mary Smith.
A funeral Mass was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. William Catholic Church (6200 Rising Sun Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19111).
