He was predeceased by: his parents, Delrose Moon Downie and William Downie; his wife Magdalene Maddix; and his siblings, Dorothy, Conrad, Albert and Bill.
He is survived by: his daughters, Beverley, Winsome Yvonne, Shenneth, Hope and Clair Yvette (Michelle); his son-in-law Jackie Davis; his grandchildren, Donovan, Jasmine, Jason, Javielle, Byron, Dahren, Jevon, Samantha, Jarrett, Jordhan and Amiya; his sisters, Daphne, Verna, Joyce and Mavis; and his siblings-in-law, Hermine, Cynthia and Deacon Sutherland. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church (5620 Wyalusing Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19131). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
