It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harry W. Murtha Jr. (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), who passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Murtha and Rosemary; and his sister Tina. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Jessica and Harry Murtha III (Gia); his grandson Leo Murtha; his sisters, Terry Vizzarri (Michael) and Roseanne Murtha; his pets, Stanley and Matilda; and his brother Chalie Sgrillo.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home (10975 Academy Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Harry's memory can be made to his grandson's, Leo's, scholarship fund.
