We announce the death of Irene Hoensch of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 19, 2026. Irene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Irene will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Irene’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Fred; her son Fred (Laura); and her brother Nicholas (DeChantal).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the St Matthew's Church (3000 Cottman Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19149). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Irene's memory to the Paul's Run Fellowship Fund (https://paulsrun.org.).
