She was predeceased by: her former husband Robert H. Shellhamer; her son-in-law David Emsweller; and her parents, Frederick H. Bassett and Josephine Bassett (Ne' Coxe). She is survived by: her husband J. Howard Oaks; her children, Elizabeth Tysklind (Erik), Robert Shellhamer (Denise), Susan Emsweller and Judith Kuhn (Mark); her grandchildren, Gunnar (Diana), Christian Tysklind, Nathaniel (Monica), Alexander Shellhamer, Duncan, Ethan Emsweller, Logan Kuhn and Reilly Wojciehowski (Aidan); and her great grandchildren, Carson, Nora and Liliana Tysklind.
