We announce the death of Joan E. Kay (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 86. Joan will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Norman Kay; her parents, Sara Wicks and Chester Van Zandt; her sister Janet Trimber; and her son James Kay (Kathy).
She is survived by: her siblings, David Van Zandt (Bob), Kathy Van Zandt and Diane Coyne; her children, Joan Leslie (Bruce) and Jeffrey Kay (Donna); her grandchildren, Tara (Samih), Leighann (Michael), Brian (Kristy), Kimberly, Lindsey, Sharon, Daniel and Keith; and her great grandchildren, Sammi, Aiden, Michael, Mikayla, Autumn, Gianna, Samantha and Ryan.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Koller Funeral Home (6835 Ridge Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19128). A memorial service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family would graciously appreciate donations made to The Aces.
