He was predeceased by: his parents, Hedwig Bender (Manweiller) and John Bender; and his grandsons, Matthew and Jared. He is survived by: his wife Sandra (Weber); his sons, John J. and Matthew J. (Rena); his sister Margaret E. Howard; his grandchildren, Jonathon, Kylie and Seth; and his great grandchildren, Noah and Mila Rose. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
