John C. Maynes Jr. Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2025 we had to say goodbye to John C. Maynes Jr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, John is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that John's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Maynes Sr. and Eleanor Maynes (Courtney). He is survived by: his wife Pat; his daughters, Shannon Black (Chris) and Heather Fischer; his sister Patricia Leach (late Lee); and his grandchildren, Michael Fischer, Courtney Golden (Zach) and Colin Black. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church (256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's name to the Franciscan Charities (franciscancharitiesinc.org), an organization close to his heart that embodies his lifelong dedication to helping others.
