He is survived by: his sons, John D. Dorsey and Kenny Cheatham; his grandchildren, Jalen Cheatham, Justin Cheatham and John P. Dorsey; and his siblings, Larry Cheatham, Donna Colbert (Robert), Barbara Cheatham and Paul Cheatham (Karen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 9:00 AM. The military honors will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026.
