John DeLong Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2025, at the age of 79, John DeLong (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Rita (Del Vecchio); his parents, Anthony DeLong and Josephine DeLong; his brother Anthony; and his sisters-in-law, Bernadette, Florence and Jodi.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne (Giorgio); his grandchildren, Audrey, Aurora, Basil, Desmond, Mason, Forest, Elliot, Scout and Gerhardt; his siblings, Theresa, Nicholas (Linda) and Joseph (Pat); his mother-in-law Eleanor; his siblings-in-law, Patricia, Linda (Harry) and Paul (Katie); his close friend Joseph Burke; John T. (Megan), Jessica Tosto (Andrew), Jamie Gerhardt (Wade), Joshua (Ashley), Julia Reed (Nate) and Gianna. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Monica Church (2422 S 17th St, Philadelphia, PA 19145). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at the Resurrection Cemetery (5201 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that's contributions be made to either Tunnels to Towers, Wounded Warriors, Disabled Veterans, or St. Jude's Research Hospital.
