He was predeceased by: his parents, Emily and Eve (Rudolf Gebauer); his brother Rudolf; and his uncle Harry Gebauer. He is survived by: his wife Dana Gebauer; his children, Ashley (Derek Oberlander), Zachary and Aimee; his grandchildren, Aubrey, Ava, Alivia, Aroura, Everleigh and Jaxon; his sister Eve Holloran (David O'Connor); his aunt Penny (Gene Durrance); and his uncle Frederick.
