The passing of Larry C. Mills in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on August 3, 2025 at the age of 87. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Larry may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Larry touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Anne Poole Mills; and his children, Larry, Jr. (Jenny Mills), Sarah Hazel (Reese Hazel), Stephen Mills (Svetlana) and Elizabeth (Chris McMahon). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and beloved nieces, great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson (1390 N State St, Jackson, MS 39202). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (1390 N State St, Jackson, MS 39202).
Memorial contributions in Larry's honor can be sent to either Belhaven University, where Larry and Sally first met and received alumni of the year in 2013, or to the French Camp Academy.
