We announce the death of Mary Sweeney (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), who passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 87. Mary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband George J. Sweeney; her parents, James Hart and Elizabeth Hart; and her sister Marie Esther "Elizabeth Hart". She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Gorman (Bob), Maryann Sweeney (Glenn Martin), Kathleen Edwards (Bill) and George Hart; and her brother James V. Hart (Alice). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made in Mary's memory to The Camilla Hall Nursing Home (IHM Retirement Community to Sr. Esther Hart) 230 IHM Drive, Malvern, PA 19355.
