He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Woods II and Iola Jane Woods (Avinger) of Somerton; and his siblings, James "Chip" Woods and Margaret "Bugs" Gosnear. He is survived by: his siblings, MaryEllen Green, Ralph Weber (Erlina), Stephen Woods (Ann Marie) and Peter Woods (Maggie McNeill); his children, Kathleen Kratz (James), Patricia Sharp (Brandon), Michael Woods (Jill), Suzanne Whillis (David) and Michelle Woods; his grandchildren, James, Isabella, Tanner, Kellen, William, Michael, Emma, Kiran and Mohana; and his close friend Fred Monaghan.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Christopher Church (13301 Proctor Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19116). The military honors will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Forest Hills Cemetery (101 Byberry Rd, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006).
