He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian Berkhimer (Ciocca); his parents, George Berkhimer and Margaret Berkhimer; his siblings, Robert, George Berkhimer and Gloria Berkhimer; and his granddaughter Amber Petersen.

He is survived by: his children, Gloria Turner (Daniel), Richard Berkhimer (Alyssa), Robert Brenner and Michelle Burns (Fred); and his sister Marianne Gill. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, one great grandchild.
