Rita Whalen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 9, 2025, at the age of 73, Rita Whalen (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Jim; her children, Heather Crofford, Jimmy Whalen, Allison Novick (Brian), Marnie Whalen-Turini (John), Mom, Victoria, Addison, Charlotte, Colin, Anna, Dillon, Jack, Finley, Joseph John and Eileen; her siblings, Mary Ann Hackett (Michael) and Joseph MacAfee (Judy); her parents, Joseph MacAfee and Patricia MacAfee; and her sisters, Patricia Schuck, Katherine Bowyer, Nancy Carroll, Josephine Wales and Margaret Craven.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM and on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Calvary Church (11024 Knights Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154).
