Sakura Vuong Gillespie Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sakura Vuong Gillespie of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 27, 2025 at the age of 44. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Thomas Andrew Gillespie; her children, Hollis Anna Gillespie, Jaila An Gillespie and Thomas Gillespie, Jr.; her parents, Sam Vuong and Van Vuong; and her siblings, Kieu Ton (Michael), Tammy Vuong (Vincent), An Slenn (Brad) and Nancy Vuong-Deal (Keith). She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Helena's Church (6161 N 5th St, Philadelphia, PA 19120). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (3301 W Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19150).
