He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Matteo and Rose Matteo; his brother Anthony Matteo; his parents-in-law, John Moran, Sr. and Philomena "Phil" Moran; and his nephew Brendan Moran.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Matteo; his siblings, Bernadette Naab, Richard Matteo (Nancy) and Michael Matteo (Kim); his siblings-in-law, John Moran, Jr. (Eileen) and Kathy Moran-Gannon; and his aunts, Rosemarie Zamarin, Rita Donadio and Loretta Stagliano. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and faithful friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (119 Rector St, Philadelphia, PA 19127). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at the Calvary Cemetery West Conshohocken (2025 Old Gulph Rd, Villanova, PA 19085).
