He is survived by : his wife Mary Isabelle Mulgrew Barr; his children, Thomas Paul Jr. (Aine Gallagher), Mary Elizabeth Barr Mann (Erik), Sarah Barr (Cree Krull), Susan Barr-Toman and Jennifer Kathleen Dougherty (Christopher); his grandchildren, Natasha Verdon Holsey (Brian), Thomas Robert Barr (Jessica McGee), Ian, Oona Toman, Aidan, Niccolo Barr Bono, Ethan, Susanna Mann and Owen Dougherty; his great grandchildren, Amari Holsey and Ada Barr; and his brothers, Robert, Richard (Barbara) and John (Carmel).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM and on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. Gabriel Church (2917 Dickinson St, Philadelphia, PA 19146). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at the West Laurel Hill Cemetery (225 Belmont Ave, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004).
