He was predeceased by: his parents, May Kelly of Dublin and James B. Generao of Manila, Philippines.; his children, Joanne and William Generao, Jr.; and his siblings, John, May, Francis, Carmen, Patricia, Suzie, Esther and Joyce.
He is survived by: his wife Donna L. Generao (Karp); his children, John, Frances, Theresa, Lisa, Kimberly, Patricia and Tracey; his granddaughters, Julia and Caitlin; his nephews, Jaime Lloyd and John Cantrol; his friend Joe "Butch" Jesus; and his caregiver Turquoise. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In honor of William's lifelong dedication to mentoring young people, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia.
