She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice E. Witmer and Lenore Witmer (Cole); her husband James Vincent Appleton; and her sister Ellen McClellan. She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara (Ronald Mesavage) of Billings and Theresa (Barry Hazel) of West Decatur; her grandchildren, James Kole (Josh) of Laurel and Jennifer Zack (Billie) of Homer City; and her great grandchildren, Maverick Zack and Phoenix Zack.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Port Matilda United Methodist Church (209 S Main St, Port Matilda, PA 16870).
