With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn McGovern (Philipsburg, Pennsylvania), born in Karthaus, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 3, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Herman E. McGovern and Magdaline M. McGovern (Roussey); her son George W. McGonigal; and her siblings, Helen T. Paul, Adelle L. Heichel, Mary L. Leigey, DeSales C. Renoe, Francis, Sylvester, Thomas and Patrick McGovern.
She is survived by : her children, Margaret A. "Peg" Livergood (Jim) of Frenchville, Debra A. McGonigal of Woodland, Thomas L. McGonigal of Frenchville, Anthony B. McGonigal (Sue) of Frenchville and Roger L. McGonigal of Frenchville; her siblings-in-law, Betty McGovern of Keewaydin, Haskell I. Renoe of Keewaydin and William T. Paul of Karthaus; and her great grandchild Michael Gavlock. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
